Hello utkusahin,

'this' can be used to with a meaning like 'a certain' to refer to something that one is about to explain. You can see an explanation and example of this in the entry for 'this' in the Cambridge Dictionaries Online, under the entry that is identified as an informal use.

I answer it, good.

I like this web, it's great!!!

thank you.

Thank you for your help. It was my first question here.

Hi. I don't know why in Task 3 is "a tomato soup" instead "some soup", soup is a noun uncountable.

Hi carnations,

In restaurants and bars we often order food in this way. We can say 'A tomato soup, please' or 'I'll have a coffee, please', for example, using usually uncountable nouns with the indefinite article.

Best wishes,

Peter

hi i m new

Thank you for your favour

hi guys , i noticed two expressions.

1) i'm sure it won't be long would it have been the same in he had used " take intead of be"?

2) i thought it was going to be a lot harder: in this expression is "was going to" the future in the past?
